  2. Alternate homework option for 3.3:
    Choose one of the groups we discussed whose lives are sometimes not valued as they should be by society:
    the elderly
    the unborn
    those with disabilities
    those who are seriously ill
    Choose one of the following media to convey (1) the beauty and dignity of all people within that group and (2) how we must honor and protect them:
    2-paragraph essay
    poem (12-line minimum)
    visual summary (combination of words and images to fill a standard 8.5×11 page)

  4. May the Lord give you His peace, everyone!

    I created electronic homework for my students for this chapter and I’m very willing to share it with you all, since its already made.

    Firstly, I have my students enrolled in a Google Classroom (Free and easy to set-up and use. Its basically like “Facebook” but for you classroom) which allows me to make homework and quizzes with Google Forms (also free and relatively simple to use). For multiple choice and True/False questions, it grades it automatically but, as one can anticipate, short/long answer questions will need to be manually reviewed. I have still found this to save tremendous time no matter what format of assessment I use. Its also paper-free and the students that I have generally prefer to have their homework this way because of how scary-comfortable they already are with technology.

    When you view my third assignment, you’ll see that its intended to be sent via email to the parents/guardians of the student for them to fill out. Basically, I want the student to have a meaningful conversation with their parent/guardian/trusted adult in their lives and, because of the potential or real sensitivities, I do not insist on hearing specifics about their conversation, but offer a place to make comments or ask questions of me, which I can review later and respond to easily.

    If you have not used Google Classroom or Google Forms, again, I assure you that its quite easy. You can either search a YouTube Video on them, or if you would prefer, email me and I would be MORE THAN HAPPY to show you how they work and answer any questions you have. Please reach out to me because I care about your students as well!
